Bird Dog
Difficulty: Advanced
The bird dog is an exercise that strengthens the lower back.

Step 1 - Start on Your Hands and KneesStart on your hands and knees with your toes on the ground. |

Step 2 - Lift the Opposite Arm and LegLift and straighten one opposite arm and the opposite leg off the mat while tightening your abs. Your extended arm and leg and body should make a straight line. Hold for 5-10 seconds. |

Step 3 - Return to the Starting PositionLower your arm and leg to the mat and return to the start position. |
|
Step 4 - RepeatRepeat 5-10 times and switch sides |
