Towel Crunch
Difficulty: Advanced
The towel crunch is a slightly more advanced variation on the normal crunch. Placing a towel under the lower back increases both the range of motion and difficulty of the exercise.

Step 1 - Lie DownLie down on your mat with your knees bent and your feet flat. Place a folder towel underneath your lower back, just above the tail bone. Place your hands on your head just behind the ears. |

Step 2 - Crunch UpContract your abs pulling your shoulder blades off the mat. Make sure your neck and arms remain relaxed. |

Step 3 - Return to the Starting PositionSlowly relax the abs until your shoulders reach the starting position and repeat. |
